Given that this fridge costs an extra amount, I'd like to see better.

Other than that the fridge is a fantastic choice. It has a large freezer compartment, which is unusual for counter-depth French-door fridges. It also holds a lot of frozen food items compared to other models.

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a striking piece. It's designed to look like it's a seamless component in your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also features a veggie compartment that keeps fruits and vegetables fresher for longer, and two compressors to preserve food. The ice maker is one of the most efficient we've ever tested, and it produces a pyramid-shaped form of ice with a low water usage. This fridge is ideal for a single family or kitchenette that needs an attractive design and top of the line food preservation.

This fridge was the top-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for various reasons. Its freezer temperatures held firm at a level that was just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit, and never moving more than a fraction one degree. This is crucial in preventing freezing burn. The fridge's fridge section also performed well, achieving the temperature that was set for the initial setting within a matter of hours and keeping the temperature constant over the course of our tests.

The top right shelf can be folded down to give tall items more headroom. There's also a full-width drawer to store deli items and an internal water dispenser.

This refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker making it easy to transfer the frozen ice as needed. The freezer also comes with thoughtful design features, like sliding drawers that help you organize your belongings. It has a large bin for storing frozen food and a separate one for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is a cool feature of the refrigerator. You can manage the temperature, lighting and other aspects of your refrigerator from your smartphone. It's a simple way to keep track of your fridge and manage it, particularly when you're away from home.

But while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't necessarily improve the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact it took longer to defrost and chill food in this fridge than some of the others we tested. This could be due to the larger capacity.

The doors are a different issue with this refrigerator. The sunken handles allow smaller people to open them from the bottom. However, taller people still struggle to close them without slamming. It would have been much better if these had front-mounted handles.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for a French door refrigerator that won't cost you a fortune and isn't expensive, this Frigidaire is a solid option. It's a basic fridge that might not be as attractive as some of its competitors however, it does have enough features to make a good choice. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator didn't vary significantly from 38 degrees. This is a good performance, but it does not quite make it to the top of our rankings.
